my ute cost me all up about 5500 but that was glaserite clear with D'Beers 2pac full jams and bay, didnt do the tub as i ran a tub liner.
my vt is costing about the 7k mark when i get it done, with the same paint on the ute, but 2tone black over white, including jams bay and boot and under the bonnet.
be careful what paint you use though, i highly reccomend D beers for the 2pac and glaserite for the clear from my experience.

OK well i think you need to differ from a full respray .
There is two types.
Door closed respray.( this means no fdoor jams or engine bay and that - eg timmy bomber burnt turtle
Full respray- Everything door jams engine bay under neath ( Cheetr myself )
on my escort it cost me $1100 for a closed door respray .
Fairlane $6000 full respray
my xf will be same as fairlane maybe more

youll never good a good paint job done for 2-3k , your dreaming if you want bays and jams done as well.
and if its a colour change with bay and jams done your going to start atleast at 5k onwards... up to 10k for a good ajob

I paid 3g for a full respray color change and he helped with the motor, gearbox diff and interor swap. it's got a couple of spots that he's still to fix and a xr front end to spray.
