EA Gearbox

My Gearbox is Fuked in the EB but i can get a EA Gearbox for next to nothin.
will it bolt stright in to the EB or nar?

Yes, but im pretty sure the ea box has a shorter 1st gear

but every clutch i see for sale says there for EB,ED,EL ect ect.

none of them say EA. it shouldnt be a problem should it?

yehh i've been told that buy a few ppl.
i didnt think it would be to bad with 3.5 diff gears.
but im still not 100% sure. would it make much of a difference?

ea is 3 bolt clutch, eb onwards 6 bolt.

use your old clutch.

my clutch is fuked aswell. i was just about to buy one then on ebay but none of them said EA so i thought i better not...

so what i need to no now is if i go buy a clutch for an EB will the front sharft on the EA box fit the clutch plate?

ea first is very short. but mines a pretty good box. go with it and if it fucks up and has cost u next to nothing then it doesnt really matter.

If you buy an EBI clutch it will be a 3 bolt which will bolt up to a 3 bolt flywheel, EBII onwards had a 6 Bolt clutch and 6 Bolt flywheel both will work with an EA box but you will need to make sure you have the right clutch and flywheel combo
