it needs to be a race spec road car with 400+kw a true! 6 speed manual as only transmission, 8 track as an optional stereo add on and some fat rubber, none of this 8"-9" crap im taking 10"+ with enough power and torque to smoke them in the first 4 gears!!!

itll just be a badge ... just like every other car these days with no racing history whether its holden or ford

why would ford realistically bother? Back in the day it was the fastest 4door sedan in the world.... to hold that title now it

Its just because theres a new Ford V8, same size as a Windsor, but with decent power. 5L - 285kw, 5.8L - 335kw, SC 5.8L 385kw. Would go nice in a wagon

335 will be enough to stay ahead of the stock LS2. Keep in mind its a hell of a lot lighter than the Boss so it should be able to corner well too

i rekon it'll be good if they do it properly.. doesn't matter if its not the fatest 4 door sedan and hasn't been raced etc. as long as its heaps better and faster than a GT it should be good. 350+kw would be nice

it dosnt just need to be better than the gtp... it needs to be better than anything wearing a holden badge.. and to beat the walkinshaw its gonna need some might huge hairy balls.

IMO they need to only make the same amount of these cars as the XYGTHOs (If a HO happens there has been talk on one for years) I Feel the thing needs to pull around the 400ish KWs mark to rival or ideally pip the W427. If they want to market it properly keep it under 100 grand if they can and it will undercut Holden's W427 and will have people clambering to get their hands on them.

But not only that... the HO has to perform not like the current GTs...out done by typhoons...this thing has to be a "Grand Tourer"...it needs to hunt hard in a straight line and also corner and pull up brilliantly. If ford or FPV are to make a car worthy of the name plate it has to be rare and it has to perform....

It also will need something big in the looks department. I think a GTHO should stand out from 100m down the road...(without the bat mobile grill of the EL GT) but it needs to look different to the standard GT or GTE/GTP...perhaps a different looking kit or something else. a special new age shaker would proberly look awesome /shrug I don't know just some thoughts...

FoMoCo have already raped the name 'GT' and 'Cobra' by bringing out pathetic main stream mass produced cars.

A GTHO will be a GT with a bigger body kidt factory shacker, it will have less power than the HSV and go slower!

If Ford want a GTHO, it needs to be powerful with next to no cosmetic bullshit. Maybe an air dam and rear wing only.

But my guess For will be pussies and just release a GT with different bocy kit, wheels and call it 'HO'

Rajab, Bresciani, and JPC have quicker Holdens.
What exactly does Walkinshaw have to do in relation to a discussion on a factory car?

If you want a HO then go and see Tim at City Suspension and get a proper HANDLEING OPTION put in. Not a piss weak attempt by ford.

so going by their last gt and gt ho projects they should build a 600 horse power 5 litre that co insides with touring car regulations and release it for sale to the public.

A new GT HO won't need to be built to V8 supercar specs, rather the production car class that beats around the bush.

Keep in mind that the GTHO was the fastest 4door because there was no serious competitor, back in those days coupes were the rage.

A GT would have to be built to the same specs as say, a EVO or GT-R skyline.

The Original GT's were Faimonts with more poke, and a GTHO a devlopment focused on road holding and speed.
