To all who have taken them off what would be the easiest way to get them off an EA?
I tried screw driving the start but there stuck on so tight i had all my body weight into it and would not peal.
Any old home herbal recipes?

try some thin wire, some people use fishing line.

Mine came off quite easy, once I got it started with a screwdriver (being careful not to scratch the paint) they just about fell off.

heat gun.
heat it up enough they will just peal off.
i had fun trying to clean the tape left over on the door tho.
ended up having to sit there with a razor.

Oh shit i sore the first 2 inches and dreaded removing it also.. Fishing wire? I would need like 5000 pound wire lol na ill try that if not i'll have to find someone with a heat gun. Thanks for the help i'll get back with what worked best.

Be carefull you may peel the paint away.

Use a hairdryer if you cant get a heatgun... It works the same anyway

Yeah heat gun/hair dryer. Heat it up around the mould, you want to heat the metal, not the mould itself. It will peel off easy then. I do this every day at work.
Easiest and best way to remove double sided tape is with a rubber wheel on a drill. It wont damage the paint and it's about 10,000 times quicker than doing it with the finger nails or a blade.

Metho and/or window cleaner helps aswell, sometimes the mould will be stuck on with sikaflex. That means that it can be a whole lot more of a pain to do. A paint scraper with round corners is handy also.

Just a word of caution with heat guns/hairdriers Acrylic paint was still used alot by repairers back then, heat will melt this paint!

Molds came off sweet with the hair dryer but god now i gotta go get a rubber wheel to get this shi9t off

Could i pick up a rubber wheel in say bunnings or something is there any other methods? I started with WD40 and a scraper but it would take me hours. Some of the paint pulled off and exposed some small rust patches where water must have got and eaten it so i'm going to just respray the whole mold like body line so damage isn't an issue.. what should i use?

Ok here is what the glue looks like and i have brought a couple of different thinners but i am having no luck removing it.
I am about to get angry and just use a metal paint scraper and unlease then get the mold channels re sprayed..

I tend to use a combination of eucalyptus oil and metholated spirits or kerosene to get rid of the double sided tape. Not so sure about the stuff in the middle. It's a lot of scrubbing but gets there in the end.

Obviously those moulds have been off before as that looks like sikaflex in the middle. I actually used a small blade to get rid of some of that from my front guard. I held it flat against the panel so it wouldn't dig into the paint, and it certainly helped remove all that. The thin layer that was left over, I pretty much managed to rub off it.
