AU head gasket

Postby skinart » August 25th, 2009, 9:09 pm

Found lots of talk on using AU ML head gaskets on the e series, but what brand are you guys using?

Are you getting genuine ones or aftermarket? If after market what brands and how much $$ are these costing you?

I got a quote for a AU ML gasket from the local parts store and they quoted me $279, didnt even ask what brand as I lost most my energy getting back up off the ground after being floored by the price. The whole car was only $100 lol

Thanx in adavnce.

Yep go factory, its a multi layer steel item, dont forget to use new head bolts but try from your local engine machinist it works out much cheaper than from Ford when it come to the bolts.
