I'll do a post when I get home so I can include a picture, but yeah I'd recommend throwing in a before and after photo so the results of the $$$ spent can be displayed.

Hmm ive never answered one of these threads, but
Including car around $22,000
(not including service every 5000, or any other usable items like brakes or tyres)

However ive bought some stuff for the new combo, and ive still got more stuf to go.
Doing an add up i think its costing around 7k . omg i shouldnt have added that up. depressing

nah not a stupid question.
It only got garaged this year acctually, and thats currently on a dirt floor garage ;) Its funny, because last AllFordDay someone came up and accused us of never driving it. He didnt believe it lives outside and was driven every day back and forth for work.

The rest of the time its stayed outside, so it got washed and detailed every few days.
The car varies on when it gets driven, at the moment im driving it every day, but before now it only got driven every now and then. Its got around 110-112,000 kays on it. it was bought a few years ago with 65,000 on it. (the reason i paid about 2 grand more then the likes of kenaz). At the moment im driving to geelong and back each week so the kay's are starting to jump up.

If it dosnt get driven during the week, it gets driven all weekend. Even though its only a falcon, i hate taking it to the shops because some asshole always scratches it.

The car isnt that pretty up close anymore, its stone chipped and shopping trolley dinted <insert crying sound>
I probably wont take it to another show anymore, unless after ive done the enigne i get the car touched up again, because at the moment its not in the same condition it was when i got the AFD trophies in 2005/2006.

I've only spent about $9k including the car, haven't really needed to do much to it, will be spending more once the kit and new front bar goes on then after that maybe wheels or something.

Previous owner easily spent over $15k on it though :D

Hard to say how much i've spent on the car over the years, as alot of money is lost when buying then selling this and that. Currently what's on the car would be close to the $40,000 mark. Anyways, here's a before and an after pic....

I've put about $11k into the ED, including purchase of the car and turbo setup (car was $7k a long long time ago).

That's about to get blown out of the water though by the new boosted goodness.

Ive spent a shitload on the turbo..... The kit, the spiffy induction piping, the tuning, the exhaust, the rebuilt box, the KAAZ,
the fuel system upgrade, the decent headunit and speakers, custom plates etc.....

Then I resprayed it in the custom colour, full EL XR kit etc.....

I stopped counting when the figure reached 20k+ (not including the car) :o

It went from something like this (minus the ftr's and lowered stance)

Just realised I don't have any decent photos of my car in it's stock state. In fact I don't really have any good photos of it now... can't find a good angle :P

This photo of it stock must've been taken with vaseline smeared over the lens or something:
Image

This is it now (image courtesy of SNR, took it at the Geelong Bunnings meet point for the GOR cruise... I had to go from there to work :( ):
Image

Doesn't have the clearies any more, gone back to stock taillights as seen in first pic :)

All up about $8k including buying it in the first place. It doesn't go fast.

Iv got no idea how much iv spent. Bought the car for $1200, cost $2500 to get it on the road. Done a few things to it here and there (interior, lowered, pink strips, colour coded handles/mirrors etc) but they are only minor things which dont cost too much.

I just did the sums again and it looks like I've spent about $10k. Can't be right.

Hmmm a lot of stuff for stereo was free from EB, the diff, cam, valve springs etc. didn't cost much after wrecking out Damo's car and getting most stuff from that...

what some of you guys have done for the cash is awesome. every time i've taken my car or its bits somewhere it's cost me > $1k.

- paint/panel work
- extractors/stall
- diff
- headwork

and i do a lot of other work myself!

i dont have logs for servicing costs etc, but when I totalled up the big ticket items (wheels, stereo, ...) i got a scare. its frightening to think i could have had a MRDOSE for less.

i am also scared of these threads cause i reckon they're the kind of thread a thief looks for to locate good cars to strip.

Probably wasted nearly $50-60k over the last 5 years maybe more.

My most recent cars not including servicing/maintenance:

On the maverick Ive spent about $15k including purchase price.

The EF I spent about $2k on including purchase price but sold to Mum for $2k.

The bike was $10,500 new and I put a $500 muffler on it and bought a $135 fender eliminator which I still havent fitted after buying it early last year.

Im gonna buy a dirt bike and try not to spend anymore money on cars or bikes until the warranty runs out on the road bike then Ill get a new one.

Farkk... $50-60k is huge :P

I think I've spent about $11k. I forgot random sht like intercooler and microfueler so I added $3k to the $8ish k of the big stuff that I got.

Mmmm come to think of it most of that cash was spent over 2 years ago. Most I've bought in the past 2 years while I've been working full time was 3 subs and a Precision amp, and cam and valve springs off Dan.

The cam hasn't been used :'( I planned on getting a retune with that cam in my car but yea that never eventuated because of the exorbitant amount Dynomotive now charge for a standard tuning session.

EL - Bought for 16k years ago. Spent around the 20ish on it.  (Not including any servicing, thats just a given, not a mod)  All that money and i've still only got an EL,  Bike - Bought for 9k a few months back. - Nothing yet, came with everything i wanted.  Belly pan, twin yoshi's, TRE.  It does need a steering dampner though!Jetski - 18k - Nothing yet, still enjoying 215hp of Supercharged goodness.  :)  Plus mods are too expensive for the things!

Car was 8k.
Rims: 1250
Little shit under the bonnet (thermos, XH, hose kits: 250
Exhaust: 280
Lowering: 600
Sound: 400

They are the main ones. Then there's all the little crap like the complete interior conversion, cluster, the touchscreen with the laptop in the boot, cabling, remote start, indicators, blah blah blah.

I suppose that figure is probably a bit rick, my mistake. Just took a rough stab, seems I was a bit off.

12k better BT?

1 4.0 Reco engine and clutch and parts that goes with it and fitting and rentals and and and...- $1800ish
1 Incomplete sound system (2 rears, sub and amp, headunit)- $450ish
