Recomended tuner in brisbane?

Postby rjdzx300 » September 16th, 2009, 12:02 pm

hi all,

im new to the forum, just found it today actually, lol, hope this is the correct place to post

anyway, decided its time to boost the eb, i pretty much have all the info i need exept what needs to be done with the ecu and where to get it tuned. anyone have a recomended tuner in brisbane or surrounding areas?

just want the standard ecu fuel maps played with if thats possible, dont wanna go fancy with ecu work

i searched the forum but couldn't find anything.

and also, probs a stupid question, but how safe are these cars to drive untuned, im not keen on hitting boost till it gets on the dyno? just asking coz i live about 2.5hrs away from bris and i need to get it to a tuner some how. there are none closer than that unfortunately

thanks in advance.

Basic answers:

Tuner - Rollin has had the least problems with Hi Torque on the Gold Coast
Standard ECU - do a search on J3
Driving boosted and untuned - take it easy or trailer it

J3 information here: http://boostedfalcon.net/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=267

Since you have to drive to get it tuned make sure you install a boost gauge and drive it but don't let it make any boost. Just control yourself and it will be fine. I drove my car about 40 minutes to my tuner after I installed my Microtech ECU and a new turbo charger system on nothing but the base map that I adjusted for larger injectors. No problems at all. Don't worry about jamming the waste-gate open, just control yourself.
