need more info... rego/rwc? km's? man/auto? etc etc
2k could be amazingly cheap, a fair price or a complete rip off....

the rego, low kms, new tyres, and rwc suggest it's a good car for $2k. Mind you, you could probably find an ED without roady or reg for much much less, which doesn't need much work for a roady. And reg is pretty much a set price, can't really barter there.
If the panels and paint and interior look tops, then why not, it'd be a great first car.
Got any pics? Can you talk the seller down from $2k?

ive already talked him down from 3 to 2 but its got one small dint on the front quarter and its got a couple stone chips on the bonnet and front bumper and i would expect that from a 16 year old car. what im worried about is when i get on my p's that cos the car is bright red that it will be a cop magnet and as much fun as that sounds i want to be able to take it down the street or go cruising with my brother and not get pulled up.
the guy that owns it now is an old guy but he likes his cars and thats why its got some work done to it. he does a bit of towing and i havnt got any pictures of it yet. and i wont be able to pick it up till around christmas whitch for me is no big deal cos it will be like buying my self a new big toy for my prezzie. and just out of curiosity how much would it cost to supercharge it. but not make it crazy if that makes any sense. just so ill be able to keep up with the big boys out on the highway ?

Have a search on here (
search.php) for questions on supercharging, there have been many threads made on this.
On the one hand you're not keen on a cop magnet (due to being red?) but on the other you want to know about supercharging? Personally I don't think the colour will attract cops, it'd be if you have a loud exhaust, large rims, very low ride height, etc.
A cheap way to supercharge would be looking up a 2nd hand Raptor or Powerdyne kit on ebay of the various forums about. You won't keep up with the "big boys" but you won't be stuck at the back of the pack with one of these. Do a search though

Sounds like an ok price. If the paint is in good nick a polish abd some tyre black gos a long way. A little ding here with some chips wont be noticeable
Also Commando's Mum is a big boy

Cops don't pull over a car because it's red. I've had 2 red Falcons over 3 years and only been pulled over twice. Both times I was doing something to gain attention.
$2k seems alright, what state are you in?

Nah you should be able to get a decent EF/EL for $2k. I sold my EF for $2300 over a year ago and it was pretty good.

Well if your dead set on the boxcar shape why not consider something like a Fairmont or a Fairmont Ghia.
