Just got informed today from Car Torque in Kent Town (Here in Adelaide) that you can no longer get Koni yellows for EA-ED's. Aparently the market wasnt big enough to sustain it, that sucks. Just thought I'd let everyone no so that if they cant find any they know why

when the koni yellow's get rebuilt, they are no longer adjustable on the car. The screw thingy for the on car adjustment gets removed and cant get replaced, so they turn into yellow, koni reds, if you get my jist.

The ones on my car when I got it were custom (apparently some time ago you could get Koni to make reds externally adjustable) reds that were adjustable externally. I had them rebuilt, but to fix the leak they had to change them to the non-external type. No longer externally adjustable... They spray painted them orange afterwards too.

I'm confused now...

Possibly in Malakai's case, because his shocks are a very early model I believe.

The external adjuster rod should be able to be purchased new for later model shocks if the shock is unable to be diassembled without destruction.

It'd be easy to pull them apart anyway, I think the guys that did Malakai's shocks just suck at life.

TBH, the adjustable-ness is wank factor for me anyway.
I just have rears at maximum stiffness so I can skate like tony hawk, or possibly because I dont have much power a lesser known skater, who is really good at skating in the wet :?
I always say I'll soften them up at the track, but I can never be fucked taking those plastic trim panels off around the rear shock mounts LOL
I do have the adjustable knob thingys though, which wilson doesn't have, so I am 100x more cool because of it.

Chuck Noris doesnt need adjustable knobs....he simply looks at whatever needs adjusting and it adjusts itself in fear of Chuck Noris

I had my Koni Yellows rebuilt and they are still externally adjustable.... The guy at TopPerformance (who knew his shit thoroughly) that I spoke to said the rear red, short-body Konis make a huge improvement on live-axle Falcons. He didn't even suggest the Yellows for the rear.

Sucks they're not making them anymore though.

By the way, I highly recommend TopPerformance in Vermont for people wanting to get their Konis rebuilt. I'm pretty sure they're like the only authorised importer of Koni shocks - or something like that???
