Yeah Matt, I have the chip ...but Jamie will be doing my install, and he insists that the EMS will be better for running boost.

"With boost, you need to remove ignition timing as boost rises, the stock ecu, and the eliminator do the opposite, they run advanced timing, to optimise power output N/A. An EMS stinger or 8860 will be an ideal option"

Fark yas ...haha

Look at it this way, if I'm going the whole hog I might as well have some versatility built into it ...and have the ability to tweak the tune via laptop.

The EMS 8860 has an auto set-up feature that gets the tune pretty close from the first start-up, so it can be fine tuned from there. Jamie is very familiar with these ECU's. And besides, quite a few shops in Perth can tune them ...I'm really just leaving it up to him.

And I think we can safely assume that the Eliminator Chip will not last 5 seconds if I put it up for sale ;)

Since the rebuilding of my intake and fuel system a 12:1 reg is my next planned mod to go with my new found 10psi + (I say + because I have been backing off when it heads north of 10 psi) the 12:1 will just be to get me by for powercruise until a proper computer goes in with the new turbo gear later this year/next year.

Actual shit thats gonna happen......eventually
- fix body
- get power windows DONE - with ghia trims too....sexy
- leather seats DONE - but with mont velour instead.
- needs an amp
- replace my 2 unroadworthy tyres to be done when the below is completed - needs camber kit
- fix up all mechanical odd and ends. In progress

Slowly getting there.....very...very....slowly...

Dreamer stuff......not likely, but possible
- some sort of blower
- 6 spd
- F6 front bar, no idea on the rest of the kit, but reckins the F6 front would look sic.
- custom paint
- XB/C style 'nostrils' in the hood
- T-Bar sunroof (the one with detachable inserts that u see on the 300zx, only hotter coz its ford)

Nah she'll be right.

Its not like Im driving to shopping centre carparks with it or trying to negotiate peak hour traffic. It goes to the station and back when there is no traffic and does the odd weekend trip to the GF's house.

If its no good Ill just take it out and do something else.

Planned mods for mine:
- Tint the windows
- Paint another set of side moulds, and redo rear bumper
- Save up for a BA

I've done most of what I want to do with the EA. I'll keep driving it as is until the 3.9 dies. Then I might chuck an AU engine in but I'm in no hurry to do that.

back in oct 07 i said:

my EL will be getting a high flow cat and a 2.5" zaust hopefully next week as long as i can arrange transport. also will be putting new shocks in there (someone recommend a good brand) in a few weeks.
did catback, but never did cat

next year (if i ever get the cash) i will be doing:
- 17" or 18" BA xr8 copy wheelshavent done
- extractors (probably pacemaker rather than genie since i will have had the cat n zaust out of the way) done, went pacemakers
- sound system.got new rear speakers? lol

also did a lot of other things like cam etc that i wasnt planning on doing. so i didnt do too bad knocking the items off the list
So much RAM the motherboard twisted off the POST.

I lost 3 cylinders... but gained a turbo...

Things I have currently done to the NF:- As per my signature.

Things I plan to do:

-Swap front springs for ultralows, fit rear whiteline swaybar and nolothane bushes
-Tint windows
-Fit bodykit (Tickford skirts, cowl induction scoop, bootlip spoiler)
-Full exhaust (Pacemakers, hi flow cats, twin 2.5" system side exiting under the sill just before rear wheels)
-Bottom end rebuild (Balenced rotating assembly, Higher compression ratio, stud girdle)
-Replace whole top end (http://store.summitracing.com/partdetai ... toview=sku)
-Replace ECU with Megasquirt2 system
-Fit 5 Speed Manual (Tremec TKO?)
-Rebuild LSD with 3.45:1 Gears
-Respray metallic black with red pearl clearcoat
-Re do interior... undecided what I want with that yet.
-Big brakes
-18" deep dished rims

Missus reckons we need a house first... :(
