If I had my way, I'd do the following:

- Water to air intercooler kit
- Cam upgrade
- HD valve springs
- Vernier gear
- Mildly ported head
- o/s valves
- Alot more tuning
- Respray front guard and drivers door
- Paint rear bootlip spoiler
- Alpine Amp to connect to my existing sub

Drive and enjoy

El gli pov pack..

got an lsd with 3:45's sitting here rotting away.
new headlights, roof lining, little clip that holds the passenger sun visor up, lots of little shit like that.
new tyres so i can get my 18's back on the rear instead of stockies.

find a written off el xr6 which has all the surviving parts
bumper, headlights, grill, bonet,
interior - seats, door trims, front elec windows,
any other goodies i can steal from it.

faster bits, im thinking headwork perhaps?

and yeah.

Step 1: Buy a 6 cylinder E-series
Step 2: Attach two VF10's (and associated modifications)
Step 3: Run a 12 second pass on stock internals, gearbox, and computer (or as little computer work as I can get away with)
Step 4: Sell car for profit.
Step 5: Start again with another make/model. Maybe one of those Diahatsu Applauses. I think one of them could do with 20psi down it's throat... Sleeper of the century anyone?

Nah you can. The max is 8 litres for the small windsor. Racetrick? / Racetech? / Raceway? parts in the states sell a crank and rods kit. Do a google search.

My planned mods for the ute:

BA conversion
T5 conversion
Thermofan + E series rad conversion
Lokka
lowered suspension
Fix droopy doors
Replace bonnet and front bar
Fix rust
T04z / GT51R on 6boost manifold
Big injectors
skids

Some of these may not happen.

does anyone know much about spacers, i want to fit these 17" BA XR6 rims and i had these 30mm spacers but they wont fit the XR6 rims, so i took them to tafe and asked a lecturer if he could machine them for me but he showed me that the centre ring in the middle of the 2 of the spacers had a tappered edge and the other 2 didnt. I originaly wanted him to just machine a mm off the top of the middle ring but he said it's not the top its the diameter and the diameter is only a mm and a half thik so he said my best bet is to get the inside of the rim engineered, I dont realy want to do that because they're not my rims they are my old mans so he went down and got a quote from some place to take a mm off from the inside bit the hub siits into to and the guy rekons it will cost $300. I dont really want to wreck the old mans rims because they wont be on my car forever so does anyone know where i can a 30mm spacer to fit BA offset?

What my el's gli's got:
el xr6 diff,
ea T5,
cushion button 10.5 inch clutch,
nearly dead motor,
pacemaker 4480

what it needs:
new motor (have but putting in new cam first)
rebuilt LSD, have another centre here to be sent to get looked at then installed,
reco on the ea T5 hopefully it doesn't break at gympie on the skid pan.
and new springs and shocks and a wheel alignment.

What will definatly happen no matter what: SKIDS :D

I (and probably most on here) would have thought you'd have a loop on wwway before you were running mid 9s !

I know I'm way off anything yours does - but I had a loop put in when I was running 13s - I know my shaft is not a standard EL Ghia shaft...but just figured, why risk it - for the small outlay, it's def a good thing to have :)
