Hi,

The mods so far I am doing are:

- NOLATHANE bushes all round
- putting my 3 inch Tip on my 2 and a half inch performance exhaust.
- need to spray my GT Spoiler ready to place on my car.

Thats about all for now :)

Need advice,
just brought a genuine xr8-1991 model in white with red trimmings such as the stripe and v8 badges, its got no chips
on the paint 5 spd manual and genuine 138000 kms on it no rips on the interior the only aftermarket is the head unit,
not on gas,
im just wondering should i modify the stock as factory xr8 or leave it genuine what are peoples thoughts?

Revision of mine :)

ED - hide in the shed til I get a job and have money to throw at it - will have job end of month (depending on foot)

EB wagon - pay for it - done
- pick it up, take it to my mechanic/RWC guy - done
- get rust fixed and RWC completed - rust fixed...getting mostly bare metal respray due to epically shite paint (it's an EB, you get that)
- get it registered
- drive it and look after it (may include V8 skids :D

Also looks like I might be getting the wagon on the road real soon, just waiting for money to clear and then paint will be laid and I will have to drive it back to Wodonga (not keen on this with fresh paint) to do the RWC at my work and have it reg'd sooner rather than later :D

Got a few plans for my NC

Firstly to build a nice cruiser
V8 conversion
Rwc/rego
Lowered (SLs)
Exhaust/extractors
Ltd leather and woodgrain
Ltd grill
Wheels

After that to get it breathing better.
70mm throttle body
70mm MAF
CAI
Explorer manifold
GT40p heads
Mild Cam (no idea what yet)
Underdrive pulleys
Tune

Anything else I should consider? This'll be a lot of saving and working to a budget, nor am I intending to build some massive powerhouse.

Over the next few weeks this is the plan for my xr6.

full dash and body loom swap, from XR to Fairmont,
Full Electrics, climate control, courtesy lights, trip meter. etc.

pull engine out, start cleaning the bay up and prepping the car for a spray. :)

in near future playing with the engine and on a serious note will be happy with 200rwkw N/A.
Bottom End Ideas?
the top end on this engine is pretty set already, apart from most likely upgrading from 977b to the1521A or similar? thoughts?

Cheers Lachy.

Your probably gonna want fair amount of compression and a custom surecam suiting the specs of your entire engine. 200rwkw is a big ask n/a but its been done.
