As if the GF is worth listening to. :P

Did you know that if they live with you for 2 or 3 years even though you arent married they are still entitled to half your shit?

Screw that.

The guy next door cant sell his house because his slut GF has a lien over half of it. He walked in on her with some bloke doing a Wayne Carey.

My GF had a small sook about me buying an investment property with my sister and not buying one with her but its way less hassles keeping an investment in the family. She will probably start hassling me to buy a 2nd one to live in next year. :(

2 options feel free to comment
a) Buy Garrett T04 plus full engine rebuild due to 240 000 k's
b) Do what it seems nobody else on here has done, xr6turbo conversion(ba/bf engine conversion) i've heard they bolt straight in as done by street fords magazine. Am aware computer e.c.t will need to be changed also but if you rebuilt my fairmont motor of which has 240 000 on the clock plus turbo could work out similar cost at the end of it correct me if im wrong. Pretty sure Xr6turbo's are well into the 9 second bracket now.....

Not too sure... but from what Ive seen the BA engine won't even clear the bonnet without modification.... JET XR had
to cut a whole in the bonnet, whilst one guy from over here in WA had to put on a bonnet bulge in order to fit it....
and thats just the issues with the bonnet.... each to their own though...

I've done most of what I want to do with the EA. I'll keep driving it as is until the 3.9 dies. Then I might chuck an AU engine in but I'm in no hurry to do that.

Add to this
- Upgrade stereo. It seems my headunit is stuffed. It's currently got a CD jammed in it, and before that it was getting too hot on long trips and coming up with an error message.

Yeh i agree man, **** that i just read someones build thread and theres no way i have that much time on my hands. Would take me over a year to build that, option one it is....ive got a few pennies saved up but realistically think i'l wait till ive atleast got 10k(couple of months away) before it can be started. If you were in my shoes would you get a full engine rebuild before bolting on the turbo or just bolt it on and see how long the rings and stock head hold up for?

itll save you money in the long run....

mmm well i guess anyone with a turbo will give it a bit sometimes but definately wont be thrashing it everyday. Don't really want to pull it all apart thats all seeing as the head was off 6 weeks ago. Noticed ED40 fried a piston on one of his first runs thats all. If that happens il kick myself lol.

Scratch the turbo idea out. Looks like it would work out to the equivalent of going and buying a BF XR6t. And unfortunately i dont have the funds to do either :( *sobs in corner* Replace with complete DEV 5 Kit

Turbo kit is under $5K. Dev5 Kit is over $7K IIRC.

Buy a Snort kit, slap it on. If it breaks, buy another motor :P

hey sirbogan, i see your ED is a GLi, just throw in an EL or AU console to get cupholders. my EL GLi consoles cupholder bar didnt stay up but when i installed the fairmont ghia cupholder with power window switches it was alot more stiff and holds cups perfect. the AU console looks perfect for boxcar interiors.

* Anymore wheels that I think look good to be collected and re-sprayed in EL GT champagne.
* Clean up interior so she's schmick again (re-bosltering seats).
* Stereo completion (half...no wait, 1/8 done for 4.5 years ain't cool).
* Get drive-line finished - have koni yellows to go in, new nolathane bushes all round, reco rack, maybe some AP Racing brakes.

New plans currently trying to achieve:

Sell AU for good price, collect more funds to get in even more debt!
Buy BA MkII XR6 Turbo 6 Speed Manual
    Bigger Intercooler
    Bigger Injectors
    Havy Valve Springs
Remove Centre Muffler from stock system
    Custom Edit Tune

Take bets on how long it will be until I put it in a tree/house/wall/ditch/fiery ball of death!
3C Volkswagen Passat 130TDi Highline Special Model - Candy White, 17's, DSG, Bi-Xenon lights, Euro lux!
