Not exactly. Unless your going to run the ED intake manifold an accessories it will.

Good question as the belt setup is different.

If you want to retain the EL serp belt setup, you need to keep the BBM, or source an XH belt tensioner, or space out the EL A/C compressor so the belt clears the log manifold throttle body.

You can of course swap the harmonic balancer from your ED to the EL donk and keep the three belt setup, which means you should have no issues with the log manifold clearance.

I recommend getting the BBM to work.

na fairlane tickford motor

Postby tickie » January 14th, 2010, 3:11 pm

hey guys i got my falcon running again. i got a hold of a tickford engine out of a fairlane for $400 and its a sweet runner.. i am very surprised on the way it goes now it will easy do 200+ kmh? how would i go about a turbo setup. are the tickford engines a good start or is a standard engine the way due to compression ratio and also im thinking of goin manual. are the pedal box easy to remove or are the like the ef el where the whole dash has to be removed.. any ideas of diff ratio's im thinking with the 5 speed maybe 3.7 3.9 or 4.11s with spool

so are you selling it or keeping it or turbo'ing then selling? Theres a whole lot of work, and good luck getting traction in 1st in a turbo manual with 4.11's. either 4.11's OR manual.
and you think that a standard e series can easiily handle 200 km safely?

- just so you have some sort of idea what snyper was on about...
