Ey

It's 3km/h in Vic, what is it in NSW and QLD? 10%?

Probably a bit under 10% I would say. They dont like you doing 66 in a 60 zone.

Yet go too slow in a school zone and they will go you for looking at kids.

FUCKING COPs in warwick suck. They have been following me around for months. As I was going into the BP servo on Thursday afternoon (2pm) they come flying in, and ask for my licence.. do all checks and whatever they do while eating donuts and looking important. Want me to do a breathe test.. Then as I am paying for my petrol the spoon comes in and give me my licence and says nothing.

They tell you it's 3km/h in Vic, but I've been told it's more.

Just try and prove it though...

Each to their own when it comes to cops. I have seen them look for people doing 20km over and let the others pass but then the next day there picking on 5-15 over. bit of a gamble really.

We will go with 10% for NSW and QLD then and 4km/h for Vic :( I think for the cameras in Vic the calibration is 6km/h to allow for an error with the radar it self or something. So if you get done doing 65, they wind it to 62 and you don't get done anyways..

RAPID BF ZF F6 :D First reg Jan or Feb '06, stock besides converted ICC screen to play DVD's, roof mount rear screen, DVD player and a K+N filter. This one has no leather or chunky wheel, but has 4 pot standard Brembo's and a nicer looking kit.

Prob get a Sniper tune and leave it at that.

Got it 10k cheaper than any BF Phoon in Vic :D

Yeah it's pretty good. I bought it sight unseen which is pretty big deal for me I guess.. but my BA Typhoon was a bit untidy when I got it, I wouldn't have got that if it was stock to be honest because it was fairly "well-used".. but it was enticing because it went fkn maddd and had sick suspension. I miss the feeling of 3rd gear roll-on's at 80 and taking off like a fkn JET haha. I think this thing will be in a lot better condition than my F6 was, I'll find out at 4:45 this afternoon.

Does anyone know why some BF F6's had grey front driving light surrounds and some had colour coded? I thought it was a difference between earlier and later ones but even late '07 BF's and R-Specs have grey surrounds.

Its double demerits in NSW now I'm pretty sure, my mate got done yesterday driving from Coffs Harbour back to Grafton, 10-20km over, $197 fine and 6 points!
They take 2km/hr off your recorded speed for what they book you for.
At 100km/hr I think most cops will give you 10% leeway, but if you're caught doing 88 in an 80 zone, you've got a ticket for 86. 66 in a 60 zone = ticket for 64.... I'd be driving within 5% of the limit unless you've got a lot of points to play with.

Must have got it for a bargain if you're doing a 4,000km round trip!!

haha not wrong there.

they take their traffic offence duties ULTRA seriously here.... to the point where its not uncommon when your driving through the KFC intersection theres a plain clothe's Detective standing on the corner, along with 4 marked/unmarked police cars about 30 metres down all 4 points of the intersection on standby, like some big bullshit sting operation.

Theres that many different unmarked cars here its not funny, from late model VW polos to the common SS/XR6's...... all in a tiny town its fucking bullshit

Maybe its like wangartta and its a regional training town, Wang has about 60 cops on at one time during the day for a community 1/3 the size of ballarat, but they also have a massive training facility there.

As for Speed Tollerances, its 3% in Vic not 3km/h. And there is no "Tollerance" for 40km/h zones or less because ADRs state that you speedo has to be accutrate upto 40km/h and there is allowed to be a 10% Tollerance after that.

NSW dropped their tollerances to 5% from 10%, but back a few years ago the obusman did a investigation into the NSW Mobile Speed Radars, and officers on traffic dutys and they found that the analouge output of the speedo (so to the needle) was showing a large amounts of inaccurcy so they now use raw digital output to a display.

Interesting enough was when the Radar was reading you doing 180km/h (because the Car speedo was out at that speed) your acutal speed would of been less than that (around the 170 mark) but around 80-120 the radar was 3% out thus given the 10% they had so techically 120 in a 110zone it would show you doing around 123 which was a 3km/h over the limit offence. NSW Gov had to refund a shit load of fines because of it.

And another thing was too is those roof mounted radars that get you comming in the oppiste direction are useless if there is a car infront of the police car and where they dont have 3secs of road to capture your speed. Hence why they should only be used in a rural enviroment.

Well we're back! Car is awesome, the ZF auto is really really good to drive with, ended up making it back in around 20 hours of driving time, plus the stops for food/fuel so probably around 22 hours all up.

I've seen unmodified BF1's and BF2's with and without colour coded lens surrounds, so this can't be right?

BA 18's were standard fitment to early BF Typhoons. Dark Argents came late '06.

No. Please provide evidence.

ZF is fkn mad for around town driving but has adapted to the previous owner, so kicks down one gear instead of 2 most of the time. I'm fixing it. It skates a lot in 1st but you don't feel it, the wheels just spin like my BA did in 3rd, then it takes off and goes. Goes pretty good for a stocker! Definitely feels A LOT faster than the XR6 Turbo did, but it's very far from 300kW :D

Washed it all up yesterday so looks sweet. I'll tyre shine it and get some pics :)
