More riots planned over easter?

Police today opposed bail for two youths accused of joining the Easternats riot on March 19 at the Oakleigh Bob Jane T-Mart outlet because of fears they may join another planned riot this weekend.
Police have told the Melbourne Magistrates Court they have gathered intelligence online from Facebook and other car enthusiast websites outlining plans for protests over the cancellation of the event, which was planned to go ahead this weekend.
The two men, both 19, from Springvale and Springvale South have been charged with riotous behaviour, affray and criminal damage over the riot, which left the store with a $50,000 damage bill.
Three other men have already been charged over the riots and released on bail.

Jack Corben, 19, of Seaford, and his friend Jordan Black, 19, of Carrum Downs, were both charged with affray and behaving in a riotous manner.
Mr Black, who police allege was caught on camera using a baseball bat to bash in the shop's windows, was also charged with using a dangerous article without lawful excuse.
Maxwell Brett Lawson, 21, of Narre Warren was charged affray, riot and criminal damage.
Mr Lawson is accused of smashing a shop window and overturning a car during the riots.
You have got to be joking me that more riots are planned this weekend. Seriously, how low can they get?

Does'nt surprise me at all. Probably have nothing better to do on a long weekend. Lets hope if they are going to do it again they get caught too!!

I saw this on the news last night. Pretty dumb because cops will be out more so on a long weekend and probably planned this riot to get their numbers up...

Also, the fines and demerit points will be doubled for the Easter weekend.
I heard someone saying that if your on your P's and get done cause 1 passenger doesn't have a seatbelt on, you can loose your licence over it.
3+3=6 demerit points

in vic iirc we dont have the double demerits\fine on public holidays
but its low that there trying to talk\organise another riot.

We DID have double demerit points, but I think they stopped that last year. Wouldn't suprise me if they brought it back though.

Soon all the car events we'll be allowed to have is a slot car set, if this keeps up.

The stupid thing is that most of these people dont really car about the events anyway .
I think the cops have said this so they can detain whoever they want on the weekend .
It would mean that if you looked wrong you could be detain for lookign dodgy .
I can see this weekend leading to alot impounding and fines .

What shits me is the media calling the event a drag race or race event which it really isnt, its an event were we can use our cars in a way we are not legally alowed to on the road

There will be more riots. A bloke at my tafe has been receiving/passing messages all day.
The cops are out in force today. Saw 3 in rowville, the 4th got me. Defect and epa notice to come just by going for lunch. Not driving any of my cars at all this weekend.

Meh... whoever has organised (if they have) a second bout of riots isn't really relavent. If you're retarded enough to attend, you deserve to get done.
