Boosted Falcon

Hi guys,

I need some advise on my old kenwood deck that i connected to my el falcon. Everything seems ok but i cannot get sound through the speakers. Illumination is fine, cd ejects, all speaker wiring is connected to the factory wiring but no sound!!

The funny thing is if i connect a amplifier to the kenwood deck than i get sound but if that is disconnected than no sound!!

Sounds like the internal amp of the headunit has given up mate.

is there anyway i can switch it on or off or is that all automatic?

kenwood decks are pretty ordinary in general

so when you connect an amp to run speakers through rca's it plays sound?

i would agree that the head units internal amp is gone.

just keep running an amp or look at a new deck, pioneer or alpine is a good start

id pull it out and just retest that you have the wires correct.
if you do, then as said above, no good!

thx for the replies guys, i re-confirmed the wiring and all of that is fine and still have the same issue.
It works well when connected to an amp but yeh no sound on its own.... It seems the internal amp is gornnee...

yeah the head units given up lol
that happend to one that i had in the fairline when i took the amps out to put in the XR.
put a new deck in and it worket fine
