hay boys and girls i don't know if this is in the right section but i thought i would post it up anyway,

i have just finished putting a couple of pedal boxes into ef el series falcons for my car and my sisters bf's car, and i was thinking...........
if there is anybody in the greater brisbane area that has a manual ef, el falcon with a rooted manual pedal box or auto pedal box wanting to change to manual, aslong as you supply the pedal box i'm willing to change it for you for $100 and 3 hours without your car and when you come back it will be just like a bought one if your interested pm me and we'll go from there

MODS if this post is in the wrong place or your un happy with it please move or delte the thread. cheers Justin

Hey if you want to do it for that money then that's cool, it's just not worth it for me. I've done quite a few over the years and there is always some random shit trailer brake harness or busted ass stereo wiring that either needs to be cut, re-routed and soldered or removed completely, which makes it take forever and be totally gay.

I also usually make a small reinforcing braket for the LHS of the clutch pivot to attempt to stop it bending.

ROLLIN thats a fair call and i'm not saying it's always going to be easy but, i don't mind changing them for $100 thats not a worry for me, as i said before if you can do it why not do it???

HOMEBUILTEL trust me man they fit all you need to do is remove the handbrake bracket on the pedal box for the dash handbrake as the ef/el's don't use them. I hope that helps bud

cheers Justin

If you have an auto car and you want to fit a manual box to it, get a pin from Mal Wood, it's about a million times cheaper and easier, trust me.

The only boxes I replace are factory manual cars where the pin for the clutch is bent or tearing out of the box, which is why I make a bit of reinforcing steel to support the other side of the pin.

The time, effort, materials and consumables make it unworthwhile. If you work at your job for 3 hours you'd earn the money to buy one, and you haven't wasted 3 hours, grinding/cutting wheels, oxy gas etc (plus, who the fk has a lathe in their garage? Not many people...) and you can kick back with a beer instead of sweating in the garage...

yeah fair call man but i can do most of it for nothing due to the fact i have a nice boss :) and access to a lathe is granted as my old man has one in his shed but yes it would be a whole lots less effort to buy the kit or just brace the standard manual pedal box
