its all cosmetic tho, nothing has been done to the engine... yet...
by worked, do u mean the engine or just the looks?

there should definately be more done up na's - nc's tho i think. they look kind of shit in stock form but they can look pretty good!

Mine just has coon spec silver paint and bugger all ride height - If I didn't have the ED I'd put a BF motor and 6/a in it for sure, I love the LWB cars!

Look at your car. Now back to mine. Now back to yours. Now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped buying dodgy cars and bought an ED, yours could be like mine. Look down. Back up. Where are you? ...You're on BoostedFalcon, reading the signature your signature could be like! Anything is possible when your car looks like my car... I'm on a computer.

there isnt much mods you can do to them compared to the sedans. and they are heavier.

mine has full EF loom and interior, hidden engine bay wiring, superlows, chrome bits and the turbo is a few weeks away (AIT kit)

If i had the cash to buy even ronzas cheapo atm, i definitely would. The NA/Cs look heaps better than the NF/Ls. Would be good as a side project. Nice cars guys.

im modding my indicators to LED as my intercooler piping will be running behind it and through the access hole

i have used my el-cheapo dremel and cut the casing from the outer lens... i used a spare orange one to work out if i need to keep the headlight brace (which by the looks of it will be needed. ill run 3 rows of LED's across the lens and use clear silicone to hold them on and then paint the back of it all black to give a smoked look. (when used with my clear indicators) you might be able to use a similar design for yours.

it would suit your application perfect i think

not on a NA lane you wont, as you need to see the indicator side on, where as if you remove the indicator from the front there wont be any visible flashing from the side of the vehicle

Re: NA and NC fairlanes

Postby barnzie83 » October 31st, 2012, 8:26 pm

Hi all.

I have just purchased my gradfathers 1994 NC Fairlane. He had it for 14 years and was the second owner. Its white and is factory standard apart from the self levelling suspension that was replaced with standard type several years ago. I am wanting to buy a nice set of wheels for the old girl but seem to be having alot of trouble finding a set. I can buy a second hand set of EL XR6 rims off ebay, but not sure how they will look on this model car, and i was wanting something "pretty" to set the car off.

I found a set of 18 inch wheels i like through ozzytyres, but they said i will need to have spacers installed to make them fit. Im not really a car person so i am not sure if this is legal or even safe??

Also, Once i have the wheels sorted out, i want to lower it. Any suggestions how low to go? I was told by pedders suspension if i want to lower it to a "nice height" i will need to replace the struts also.
Cheers

spacers are pretty much illegal, i have heard you can get them complienced but im not 100% on that. plenty of people still run them.

here is a pic of my NC back in the day with the EL XR rims, falcon superlows in the front and fairlane superlows in the rear to keep it flat

Originally I was going to do my turbo build with a Lane, LTD.

But my strict criteria for my build were :Black, No leather, Sunroof and had to be a 4L.

found 2 for sale. One was a NC2 Lane from Brisbane. 4K
second was a EB Mont in Adelaide for 2k. and he took $1500. So I ended with a SWB :(
