Whats the best way to dispose of a motor.
pushing it off the back of a trailer going down the freeway would be entertaining but i'll pass.

I've got a complete motor and kframe i need to get rid of.
no idea what the best options are to get rid of them.

anything around the dandenong area?

Joe's house + 1..

Nah you'd be up for about 12c a kilo at a scrap metal joint like the guys next door to pick a part.

when I got rid of a few motors, I took them to the scrap metal place at pik a part in Kilsyth, along with a few other metal car parts(flywheel, flex plate, rotors etc). Ended up getting enough money from them to cover the cost of trailer hire. Maybe Jolley Rogers would take it ?

Just pull the head off & you've got a fkn solid multiple stubby holder, perfect for the lounge

That is a sick idea, leave the starter rigged up and have a 12v battery, and you can launch them.

Pull the head off, crank & rods out, clean up the block, buy a bit of 600x1200 glass and make a coffee table. Works better with a big block v8 but might still look effective? The rest gradually place in the rubbish bin and some midnight missions to top up the neighbours' ones too

Do that! 4L would make a decent height coffee table.

My old housemate years ago scored a used speedway tyre, layed it on its side and got a bit of glass as a coffee table top. only thing is after a year of not moving it the rubber left a dirty round stain in the parquetry.. oops, big$$ to replace, goodbye bond!

What's the k-frame out of?

4.0 head is worth about 10 bucks at scrap. Block isn't worth worrying about really.

I sold an EB K-frame on ebay for $40 a while back. Guy said that he was gonna use it in a hotrod of some description - apparently the E-series front suspension can be adapted to fit some custom cars.

As for the engine, don't you have a NF shell to get rid of at some stage? Stick the engine in the boot of that, most people that pick up car shells will be more than happy to take it, they get paid by the kilo anyway.

There's a guy on AFF looking for a head that he can use to dummy up a manifold on - he may take the whole thing if you give it to him for free.
