Long shot but does anyone know someone who does these keys and doesn't charge billions?
Going rate seems to be around $120, which is epic.
You can buy the heads for $55 on ebay but then Holden wants $50+ to program.
Also, anyone experienced in flushing and re-filling coolant in them have any advice for a n00b?

Holden charge $155 or so, $120 is Mister Minit.
Holden will only do genuine keys, not aftermarket.
Sounds shithouse all up.

You can't just buy an aftermarket key and program it yourself? I mean, I am not sure if its the same for Holden, but I remember in the AU all that was needed was some combination of key in the ignition, on and off or something. I did it once, as it was all in the manual.

Has to be done by Holden.

the cooling has to bled with the top cover is off there is a bleed nipple on the thermostat housing generally what i have done is used a bottle off the radiator cap so its higher than the bleed and fill with coolant with nipple undone until there is a constant stream with no air

Mint! That would be perfect. You can buy the heads from ebay, so I'll do that and pay Cylinder Tech a visit then

the highest point of the cooling system is the thermostat housing when filling a cooling system on these they can create an airlock in the system which should be bled out
