Who knows a bit about skylines?

Hey guys, found another toy I'm keen to get, contemplating it. Need to know a few things about it, I recall a couple of boys on here ended up in R33's...

First up, the car is an R33 GTST and has: PowerFC, High-mount KKK K-27 3064, tial external gate, 3.5" exhaust, highflow cat, greddy boost controller, greddy intercooler, 285/17's, *i think* injectors, and a very grabby clutch (would assume HD+).

If it were straight, and mechanically sound, what would it be worth?

What sort of power would this combo produce on average?

Thanks guys.

worth 12k tops id immagine... prob make around the 220-250ish mark, personally id steer clear of a r33 gtst when a r32 gtr can be had for not much more (far far far far better car)

Circumstances surrounding this particular car would mean I wouldn't be purchasing it at anything anywhere near that price. It would fun for a month or two, then I'd offload it.

I've got an R33 now. Something with those mods would probably sell for between $9000 and $11000ish in QLD and it wouldn't be out of the question for it to make 250rwkw tops (I'd say) depending on how good/safe your tuner is.

I love my 33, it's loads of fun. As for r32 GTR, of course they are good but the extra weight of the 4wd system and the extra complexity of the twin turbos makes it a bit of a pain in the ass if you ask me. I also much prefer the sound of an RB25 over RB26.

If you could get that car for under $8000 you'd be mad to pass it up.

If it's got reg etc and is clean, I reckon 10kish wouldn't be a prob in VIC. As has been said, that setup should get you to close to 250rwkw.

I'd much rather that over an R32 GTR, which are very hard to find in good nick, and can be money pits to maintain.

Haha, no shit rollin. Ask a forum member here what an EA's worth and they'll tell you it's <$100. Ask a car dealer when he's trying to sell it to you and it's $4k. I wanted the average.

Thanks for the help guys, I will let you know the outcome.

Car was going to be bought by another member on here, but it went for more than anticipated ($4k, expected 2.5-3) so sale fell through.

This is the car in question. It was purchased from the auctions (where I work). Looking at the books again, it only went for $3500 at auction. Given that in the pictures, it hasn't even been washed since I drove it, the guy only bought it to sell it. Should see a tidy profit I think.

Its hail damaged which will dramatically drop its value.

Skylines are a strange car when it comes to buying and selling, most purchases are made with the heart, not the head and they can become really expensive to maintain.

Better be on good terms with the bank manager when things go wrong, but when they are running right, dollar for dollar nothing can touch them.

The saying is many can afford to buy a GTR , very few can afford to keep it. ;)

Looks like a perfect little drift hack, I was actually wanting an R33 for a drift car just in a year or so.
