i was just browsing through my ef owners manual because when im driving the abs light stay's on which according to the owners manual says i have no abs braking at the moment just normal braking (so i could lock up easier)

then i went to near the back of the book and saw that the car has a life time warranty, so could someone tell me if i turned up to ford would they fix my problem under the life time warranty or would i just be better taking it to a local mechinc

thanks

Yeah they will fix it. I had mum's ef's right Rand rear brake caliper replaced under the same warranty a few weeks ago. We had to be pushy to get it done though. Don't give up until they fix it for free.

I'm pretty sure its only a lifetime warranty on parts that have been replaced at ford before. And keeping all documentation to show its been done.

that would be refering to service warranty, if it has always been sirviced @ a ford dealer n something failed u MIGHT have a chance on getting it fixed under warranty, however very slim.
Ford's position on warranty is a car is designed and built for a life of 200,000km. anything after that u may be covered under any kind of continual "in-house" warranty that the dealership offered with the car @ sale.
Ford will extend km limits on warranty if they find a design fault causes failure of components RECENT EXAMPLE: Territory front lower ball joints are covered upto 150,000km as the front suspension is designed in such a manner that the ball joint is pulled out of the lower control arm, so it's ford's fault.

take it to ford if u like but i think u'll find it a waste of time pal
