Hey all, i just set up a website for my mate.
I'm interested in setting up a counter so we can see how many people have viewed the page,
Does anyone know of how to set one up, code etc?

Depends on what you want, javascript, php.. heaps of different ways to do it with text, images etc etc.

if you google 'website counter script' or 'hit counter script' you will find heaps of simple ones.

here is a link to a really simple javascript one http://www.javascriptkit.com/script/scr ... nter.shtml

This is one i have used a couple of times.

Question is, why do you want one?
As long as your hosting has statistics such as webalizer or awstats you can view detailed visitors, rather then show how crap your page is with minimal hits.

Well i got onto one, works good but i want it invisible. Were more just curious to see if people look or not, just for our own curiosities.
How would we view the stats through the host?
