ed xr8 transmision gone in to limp home mode

Hi I'm a new poster can anyone help me i have spent $3000+ on trans T5 rebuilt 1 year only thing old is the outer case does anyone have answer why the car goes in to limp home mode ,some time for a short time it will give me first gear but then only 3rd and reverse on going problem since purchase

Could try depressing the clutch....
might get a gear then.....hahahah






Na seriously, get it to a trans specialist as by the sounds of things the info we give you isn't going to help!!!!

im guessing its the engine itself going into limp home?

ive never had that problem with a 4.0l, but doesn't a dodgy coolant senser cause that sometimes?
