G'day all,

FYI details on the Commodore update have arrived. The big news is 3.0 and 6.0 models being compatible with E85 (still in the early stages of being rolled out at servos) as part of a long-term plan to end dependence on imported oil. Minor fuel consumption improvements across the range and styling changes too.

All including the base model (below) get a colour touch-screen.

The facelift is mild and inoffensive including massaged headlamps and bumpers.

The Statesman has gone the way of the Fairlane, with the Caprice now branching into 2 models including a top model 'V'. This brings the 6.0 motor, a sunroof as well as the usual Caprice features like tri-zone climate control and rear DVD player.

The event has been well covered on drive.

Cheers.

Holden are onto it with E85. Imagine the power that tuners will be able to get out of flex fuel LS1's. 400kw with just a cam & flash? Wonder what the CR is?

Looks like there's about as much difference as BA to BF.

Women aren't going to spot it.

Look at the gear selector then look for a button at the bottom left of it. that is the top of the handbrake handle. as you can also see, they already have the gap there for american models too

edit: quick paint job. i've circled it in white

Bottom right, back to school for you.

Commodore interior is pretty much a mirror image split down the middle

they didnt do that by accident lol... makes it very easy to do lhd and rhd if you only need to change parts and surrounds on the crash pad, instead of entirely different dashes
