im not sure what % mine was. was darker than standard i think. wouldnt go much darker as it makes it annoying to reverse at night time.

i just picked up my 05 XR6 and wanna get good looking tints for it, and to keep the UV off my kids.I had an old crumpledoor wagon which had 5% on it. that was awesome during the day, but too dark at night, 35% is the legal tint but i think thats not dark enough. some1 told me 15% is good. does that sound right?

cheers in advance

FYI ill post pics of my old EB and new XR6 soon :)

What % is factory tint? I'm guessing mine is factory. Its starting to bubble on the back window, so i think i want to get it re done, but go a touch darker..

Pardon my ignorance but do they actually do window tinting at the factory? I thought it would be arranged by the dealer at a local Tint a Car or similar. They typically do the darkest legal, be it 35% or whatever.

Of course the legal VLT varies from state to state. :?

Yeah i was told the car yard actually organises it. I always thought the factory did it until i said "remove factory tint" to my local tint a car and they told me its outsourced by car yards

my brother in law has his done but they look like they nearly arent done. my father just bought a brand new clubsport, he got the car yard to organise/do the tints for him and the back window seems to be darker than the rest, any idea wat %'s would b used? really wanna get mine done. and want em dark enough so people cant see in, but with good visibility at night aswell, so im kinda stuck at the moment as to which would b best to go
