Recommend A Dyno That Straps Down Monsters In Melb?

Postby iCER » October 19th, 2010, 8:13 pm

So Dion rings me today with some bad news.

Car only made 325rwkw @ 20-21psi after all new round of mods. Took zorst of, went up to 23psi at 335~. Worked out my 17" MT ET Streets were frying on the dyno and left hot rubber everywhere. He wacked stock 17" tyres and rims on and still same result. End result is that WAY to much wheel spin no matter how gently he runs it up that he cant get an accurate figure. Wrapped with the outcome, just want a dyno sheet to match it :) Heathcote here I come!

He tried strapping and everything he could to keep the car down but to no avail. When I asked how can he hold down shanon's and clinic's big power cars and he said due to my loose convertor been so big (can get to 4000 even though its a 3200~), when the power comes on, it explodes!

Well im pretty happy with how it all sounds, and car is good for over 400rwkw now but I need to take it somewhere, where it can be strapped down even better so I can actually get a print out.

Anyone know anyone in melb who I can go to instead of shopping around and getting same result? Pick car up on thursday after work so its ready for friday night! :) (ill post pics etc in 400+ section once I get dyno)

Normal 17" tyres, put the car on the rollers with 20psi in them, strap it down, set the tyres to 40psi and bob's your uncle.

Find it hard to believe that there is nobody in the hectic capital of australia who can strap a car down properly....

Look at your car. Now back to mine. Now back to yours. Now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped buying dodgy cars and bought an ED, yours could be like mine. Look down. Back up. Where are you? ...You're on BoostedFalcon, reading the signature your signature could be like! Anything is possible when your car looks like my car... I'm on a computer.

If they cant strap the car down to get a power figure how do they load it up enough to tune it?

Lol, i'd rather run a mint time than have some wanky dyno sheet, they're useless without a timeslip anyway IMO.

Just race it!

Considering 400kw is only 536.4hp you should not have trouble finding a dyno to strap down that power.

lol dont have the car till tomorrow so no :P

and im not asking a dyno who can handle the power, im after a dyno that can strap the car down due to my converter been so big it needs like 10 fat **** in the boot. every dyno can handle a measily 400rwkw.

search for same topic.
seems noone wants me to get a dyno slip.

people seem to think getting a time slip AND dyno sheet is worth flaming as we can clearly see here. may as well take out all the dyno figures from our signatures and remove the dyno section of this forum.

if i was a workshop owner who had a customer that was a confirmed idiot, and whose car had a massive convertor, i wouldn't waste my time trying to explain to him why the dyno figure is low, because i know that he wouldn't understand and eventually he'd only rag on me via the internet anyway.
i'd just tell him that his car was so powerful that i couldn't even strap it down.
