Boosted Falcon

My mates head gasket went in his shitty 1994 Daihatsu Charade 3cyl .
Anyone ever done one or something close?
He wants to take it to the mechanics next week but i told him i'd give it a go over the weekend for him to try save some money.
Any tips or advice as i've never done a small head gasket?

should be pretty straight foward dude, just mark the timing belt position as much as you can, if you do that there shouldnt be any probs, and just make sure the block is absolutley clean, if your using a fibre head gasket, use some very very coarse sand paper wrapped around a flat wood block to scuff up the surface of the block so the gasket has something to bond to, and dont forget to air blow around the pistons and the water galleries when your done to get any old gasket crap out, also its a good idea to shove some rags/paper towel into each bore and the oil galleries when your preparing the block

Thanks for sharing these detailed steps. I'm also having problems with head gasket installation before. I'll try this one immediately.

Just a tip for new guy is just check the date of the last post in a thread. If it's months or even years ago it isn't worth bumping. Hope this helps
