getting wet feet when it rains (xf)

can anyone help me ,i have a leak somewhere in my xf drips onto my feet when i wash the car or when it rains. ive heard it is common but dont know where it is exactly coming from. anybody solved this problem before???

Could be the plenum, were the vent is between the bonnet and windscreen. I've heard of them rusting out on x-series.

its most likely the plenum. they rust out and water comes straight in. depending on how much you like your xf its probably easier to buy another one.

big job to fix, and very expensive if you cant do it yourself.

welcome to owning an xf......they will all do this and there is no stopping it...

while its pretty common, not all do it, ive had 4 or 5 xf's, and only had two do it.

rust around the windscreen frame can also cause leaks too.

preventative maintenance helps, pull the guards off and make sure all drain vents are free flowing, and not blocked with leaves.
