bahaha. fucks thats wrong that he got off. if the cops were doing 160 and he was pulling away, HE WAS SPEEDING!
not every cop can drive a pursuit car. imagine the cost! would give them alot more cred though. haha.

i actually agree with the judge here, there was no real evidence to say the lambo was doing 160km/h +...
thetres various different articles on this, one of them said something about them pulling the vehicle data from the cop car, and it said yes the copper was doing 160km/h, but not where he said he was doing it... theres your doubt.
having said that, i can guarantee the ooutcome would have been different had the lambo been a vlt with an 18 year old behind the wheel...

agrees with nstg8a.
Naturally any vehicle wanting to catch another, needs to driver faster, simple physics.
So it's no big deal. It's not like this will set a precedence.

Thats bullcrap, arent all police cars tracked vis GPS so that dispatch can decide which cars to send where? That would show speeds. And a simple public appeal to any witnesses wouldnt have gone astray. It wouldnt be easy to forget a yellow lambo passing you at 160 with police following lights and sirens blaring.
The WORST part is not necessarily that they were unable to convict him but that he was awarded $18,000 in court costs! Thats bullshit. Any kindergarten kid can tell you this guys was not abiding by the law, so why to tax payers have to foot the bill?? Plus the cost of the (apparently useless) prosecution and magistrate.

didnt he admit to doing 130km/h? imo, the cops should have dropped it then, rather than try and make an example of him.
still be massive fine, and loss of points. but no impound. and i bet that copper had a hardon wanting to see that lambo on the back of a tilt tray.

Good luck finding a tilt tray that would tow a lambo without the owners consent. There insurance would not cover it if it got damaged.

Why wouldnt they cover it? Unless it was explicitly written that exotics or supercars arent covered. General car insurance would cover you for hitting one, and these would need to get towed all the same. But I think the best situation here would be to call the owner and say if you dont drive your pretty little car to the impound we will try our luck at getting it on a tray lol. They must have got it there somehow because it did get impounded.

Oh I love it when the cops get fucked, this is an awesome story. How unprofessional was the judge though, talking about Top Gear and mentioning Jeremy Clarkson buying a Lambo and Kristin Scott Thomas was going to buy a Lambo... blah blah blah. While I love the outcome I don't think that the judge should use anything he watched on Top Gear as part of his decision making process.
