i've got 18x9 under the back of my EF with 265 tyres, they scrub on the guard.
bit of work on the guard fixes it.
narrower tyres would fix it too.

forgetting the width of the rims, the tyres are generally more the issue, i had 17x9 with 245's on my car and they cleared without issues.

I've got 10" wides on the rear, but only 245's. Nothing done to the guards. But i'd probably have to lip them to fit 265/285's. for sure.

Ive got 19x8's with 245's on them, and they scrub with superlows and a full carload. My brother has the same rims, but with 235's and his are fine.

Should be able to fit them no worrie Dan, GlennAUII had the widepack on his AU and they looked mint. Think he only had superlows though.

Depends on the offset. If you got the offset perfect you could probably fit an 11in wheel, bearing in mind that the total width of an 11in wheel is more like 12in. The width only refers to the where the tyre bead sits on the wheel.

My street tyres are 18x9's on the back with a 285/35 tyre and they scrub a bit against the inner guard when cornering hard- needs another few mm of spacer.

i have a set of prostarts im using at the drags. they are the perfect offset for me. i have 265's on them, no guard lipping, and room to spare. not sure exactly WHAT offset it is though.......

not exactly sure john, but they fit perfect with 35mm hub adaptors, so im tipping somewhere around +30 - +40.
