LPG prices...

Who else here is pissed with the LPG prices?

In Traralgon alone there's 5 petrol stations along the highway. The petrol prices are identical, but the LPG prices?

Mobil - 73c/L
Safeway - 52c/L (48 with discount)

Mobil and Safeway are next to each other too, yet I still see retards filling up LPG at Mobil in cars that are quite obviously not company cars

Shell - 52c/L (48 with discount)
Independent - 61c/L

Once again, across the road from each other. Finally there's BP, also at 73c/L. How can one town have 21c/L difference in GAS!

If I go to Mobil or BP, that's $37 to fill up. Shell or Safeway fuel = $24 to fill up.

What's gas like in Melbourne?

I remember when gas was < 13c/l.

I filled up my EA for $10. It was the best.

I paid something like 61c last night. Its on its way up again, and the media isnt making a fuss about it this time.

I remember seeing it for 7c/L back in the day...

I'm surprised the media hasn't jumped on it, 20c is a hell of a jump.

I can understand a typical rise in prices (or recognise part of a pricing cycle occurring) due to Northern Hemisphere winter demand, but when the rise isn't uniform and the difference is as high as 25c in one town, you've got to think that something else is going on here...

Thats pretty good.
I'm getting about 10 sausages for every kg of gas, and when I get into it, it can cook a steak in 10.67 seconds @ 640degrees centigrade.

My last two utes were on gas, cost me $25 a week in gas, it was awesome but i got sick of the problems with the gas... On petrol i thought id die with the price but the reliability of it makes it worth while, not to mention the extra power... :)

I've just got back from my holiday to Central Aus where I borrowed the parents BF LPG Sedan, paid 98 cents per litre for LPG at one place up there.
The shite thing was when I got to one of the resorts where I knew they had gas and I needed to fill up, the pump on their LPG was stuffed, so I had no choice but to drive to the nearest servo that had gas (200 odd k's from memory) and get it there (for 98c).
The difference was about 20c as well i think, the price in the resort was set on 70-80ish cents, although the pump had been stuffed for a few weeks.

It's funny how the country prices seem to be justified by the fact they need to transport the fuel a long way, then why does geelong pay more then melb when we have a refinery right on our farkin door step?? Cos they can i guess.
