So what needs to be done to purchase a QLD rego'd car when I live in NSW? The TMR site confuses me lol, it says something about a safety certificate must be obtained when a car is put up for sale and is needed, but also says if a car doesnt have one its likely the vehicle hasnt been checked and shouldnt be considered for sale. So does that mean it has to have one or wha?
Basically I want to buy a car, drive said car back home, transfer to nsw rego (so cancel qld rego n get cashback) after making it road worthy, within the 14 days given.

no need for a safety cert if it isn't getting rego transfer in QLD.

Yehhh lol but can I drive it down here, then get him to cancel the rego? I dunno how legal that is considering what I read from tmr.

You can, yea, just have to arrange to get the plates back to him so DOT can get the back. worst case, I'm sure one of us QLD members could fill in transfer forms
