NZ V8 super tourers

Postby Bob Lablaw » May 30th, 2011, 5:01 pm

Not as complex as a V8 supercar but at last something to see over this side (more than once a year) thats looks good sounds good and goes pretty quick. With 7 litres of love 550hp and less than 1300kg finally NZ motor racing has something exciting to watch at the top level.

A race engine designed to last 10,000 race k's sounds nice for a road car

In the article it says that 6 team owners have expressed interest in FG's. Along with 6 VE's. They can have up to 24 cars so it'll be interesting to see if Toyota or BMW get into it as the article suggests. Either way its should be good for NZ motorsport.

yea i'm not a huge fan of the same engine, but driver skills will come out on top and at least the different bodies will look better than all the same i think. With the huge difference in driver skills from front to back of the field and with these fast cars there is gonna be some carnage, some of these guys should stick to stock cars.
