Im looking at getting a better take off because my ute is a bit sluggish off the line but is great after 2500rpm. It has a el tickford head with tickford cam and is shaved ect. I have pasemaker extractors and a 2.5 hi flow cat with a full 2.5in exhaust. What are some good mods that can be done to achive better take off.

Cheers doey

Diff gears...
A set of 4.11's will improve take off...
Also, if it's auto, get a hi stall convertor..
2800-3200rpm will be a big improvement too..

It is a manual. Would a bigger throttle body and cold air intake help? Would that increase fuel economy?

Being manual, 3.7s or 3.9s. You might find 4.11s a little short with 1st gear.

Or try a EA T5 with a shorter 1st gear.
