V8 sump gasket

Postby adamed » January 20th, 2008, 6:10 pm

Hi everyone,

I'm new here and I’m new to E-Series. More than a year ago I bought EB Fairmont ghia and now I will buy ED. It will be also Fairmont ghia but now V8. There is small problem because engine is leaking. I will need to change sump gasket in that fantastic V8, but I don’t want to take the engine out. Maybe you have some good ideas:-)

ED you can get the sump out with donk in apparently, the K Frame is smaller then EF/EL.
I'll confirm that one day when I go to do my blower drain!
Otherwise, undo engine mounts, hold engine up with crane, and drop K Frame.

Get a Felpro one piece gasket too, they are awesome :D
