No its 100mm between the ground and the lowest part of your car unless a coke can is exactly 100mm i wouldnt use that lol im pretty sure coke cans are a few cm bigger

From what I was told by Vicroads, technically that 100mm needs to be with a full tank and a partial load - or some crap like that.

Just measured: a coke can is approx 128mm (higher than legal limit)

they can measure your car with full tank, full load in boot, and full car people wise. i've been measured with my car like this (car was just at about 60mm clearance :D ) but the very nice officer let me off on a warning. it has to clear 100mm at all times.

So the coke can saying was probly true because it allows for 28mm to drop once passengers/petrol are on board :|

the coke can rule has always been: "If you can fit a coke can under all parts of the underbody, you are fine"
Ie, coke can is slightly higher then legal height meaning you have a saftey margin.

just go some bigger wheels if u want more tyre tuckage, and u wont scrape as much (under vehicle)
if u wana get technical, how many cars r runnin illegally large wheels on them, arn't u allowed 2" from biggest wheels on that car from factory? and all the otha illegal shit so il jus shut up now.

Getting a little off topic, but i'm yet to see anywere in the rule books that states you can only go 2 inch larger wheels than standard. The law states that overall wheel diameter including tyre must not exceed 15mm from standard, which means most rims are legal as the lower profile tyres make up for the larger diameter of the wheel.

Steve the law used to be that you could go 2" in rims size.
Now it's No more than 15mm of the largest diameter tyre specified by the manufacturer.

ride height = for any point in the width of the vehicle witin 1 meter fore and aft of any axle 100mm.
