i'm sure someone here is running an EA-ED off gas.. I just paid 95$$ to fill my EA and it's given me the shits. How much am I looking for a conversion and can someone give me the pros and cons of using gas since I know next to nothing about it, other than Mr Rudd will gimme 2 grand for the conversion costs.. GEEX fuel must be expensive up there last time i filled up from just on e and it only cost me $75 and thats running 98!

A new system will cost you $2500-$3000 these days. Gas is pretty good - pros costs less than half of petrol to run, cons you lose boot space, a little power, extra weight and that's about it, provided you keep your ignition system maintained.

i paid $2800 for gas on my ed.
tuned right i didnt loose much power at all.
my only problem was i blew the headgasket beacause of the heat.

gas is so much cheaper and i only get 50km less on a tank of gas compared to a tank of petrol.
only thing annoying me is the headgasket caused by the gas meens more cash to spend.
but at least its less of a hit on my pocket everyweek. especially now i go through 2-3 tanks a week. would have cost me over $230 on petrol. now costs about $100-150

Gas systems sound pretty good these days, years ago I had gas on my XF and a mate had gas on his XE. Absolutely shithouse! But maybe that was 90% the fault of the rest of the cars. I think it must have been.

I hear only good things about gas these days. $2000 rebate makes it a pretty good deal.

yeh seems quite attractive I was just wondering though as was kinda suggested by holmsy, the girl has 25x000 kms on her, I was thinking issues might arise like blowing head gaskets with the switch to gas.. or is it as simple as just saving money on fuel? Basically, I am gonna get it if it has no adverse effects on engine life.. your thoughts? thanks, james.
