I bought the current issue for the C4C pics and write up, also for the fact that it says under EXCLUSIVES! "TURBO EF". Im still looking for the feature of a turbo EF?

That Perkins winning 97 Commodore was living in Maitland NSW for a while and was being driven in the fujitzu( or whatever it was called back in '02').
I know this as the tow truck company i worked for used to tow it around to get work done and also down to Bathurst for the owner.
The whereabouts of it now i couldnt tell you.

(even though i absolutely love them), i can probably say the same about F6's and XR6t's which are being featured regularly.. You just have to buy a late model xr6t/f6, put some rims on it, lower it and send it off to a workshop for some go fast bits and you get a feature car!

I love fords but i guess the mags these days(not just sf) don't really appeal to me anymore. HOWEVER I think I will purchase this real race cars mag, it looks good!

my 2cents. :thumbsup:

Agreed.

Build not bought always a winner IMO

Addressing the comments on Street Fords;
The turbo EF is in the following issue (89). Simple human error on Roy's part, that was.
I was hoping issue 86 would stand out in the sales results, but it didn't. It didn't bomb, but it didn't sway opinions about what to put on the future covers either. XYs on the other hand are a sure thing for us because, as pointed out by a couple of members earlier in this thread, the fans of the older Falcons are the ones still buying magazines.

As for this new mag (sorry for getting back on topic :D ), it officially hits the shelves on Friday this week. We've also been posting semi-relevant (or otherwise just plain interesting) vids and other links on the Facebook group wall; http://www.facebook.com/groups/realracecars
And the Seton EL does look like it's had some work done to the front tubs;

The Perkins VS was shot at Calder. That's about all I'm at liberty to say in terms of the car's location. And you are right about the year, its restoration started at the end of 2002 after its last race in the development series.

And no, the EF in SF89 is not 'bagged. Looks it though at first glance (bloody hell it's low :eek: )

Hey Sam,

Any plans to provide digital versions of your mags? Would love to just download/subscribe via the iTunes News Stand for example.

I don't believe there are any such plans to go electronic, unfortunately.

Printed copies should be on the shelves now though.

I vote Street fords do an E-Series special, gather some of the previous features, and some tech...even reasearch into the V8 race cars, would be cool to have some posters of Seatons EB!

A while ago I compiled a spreadsheet with all the E series content (feature cars and tech) like I did for XW-Y, XA-C (which both had specials a couple of years ago) and XD-F (which didn't happen), but I don't see us doing anything with it, unfortunately. There was plenty of E series content in the Budget Builds series of a couple of years ago though.

A poster of Seton's EL isn't out of the realms of possibility. We occasionally do compile poster books so it might happen (but please don't hold your breath, there are no immediate plans).

There's no reason for us to not put more E series race cars in future issues of Real Race Cars (as well as Street Fords and Super Fords), with details on their tech specs and history. My V8 EB IPRA project will more than likely start appearing in the tech section of future issues too.

Speaking of the ef in #89. Cannot believe the owner/street fords was willing to do an article with a front bar fitment like it had. Bam! First picture into the article and I was truly disappointed. Maybe SF should stick to XW's and XY's if high quality E's are that hard to find.

How about Dickes EB? I remember a ford mag from wayyy back that had his first V8 supercar prototype (It had the same body kit as the 351 EA, the indy pace cars and the APV? sr3900) It was a good read, but i havent seen a good one on his actuall V8 supercar. Same with the Moffets EB and the Peter Jackson Falcons...Bowe's EL...list goes on.

I agree! I kept getting messages saying "Theres a car like yours in streetford!' bought it and was so disappointed! It wasnt even clean for the photo's. It had mud running down the front of the sideskirt.

Look at your car. Now back to mine. Now back to yours. Now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped buying dodgy cars and bought an ED, yours could be like mine. Look down. Back up. Where are you? ...You're on BoostedFalcon, reading the signature your signature could be like! Anything is possible when your car looks like my car... I'm on a computer.

Ok folks, the next issue of Real Race Cars will be on sale in two weeks (9/3).
It features John Bowe's TCM championship-winning Mustang and an interview with JB, plus Garry Willmington's Privateer Group C XC as shot at Marulan for SF68.
We also interview former Ch7 commentator Mike Raymond, and we cover the HSRCA Summer Event from Eastern Creek as well as the BLCC's Bathurst Speed Weekend.
We explain how to get started in motorsport with your current car for under $100 and then how to get more serious with it in hill climbs.
There are also several other interesting and high-achieving race cars of other makes featured.
Keep an eye out for it.

The DIY race car fabrication that the cover speaks of is actually the front end suspension geometry changes (and some minor weight reduction) to my own backyard E series TASCCO-to-IPRA project.
