Whats really disgusting is that none of them were charged with assault, it was "intentionally causing harm" or some bullshit.

The problem is when incidents like that get reviewed, its by other police. They need a totally independent watchdog.

Seriously though, these morons were doing burnouts outside a cop shop. You can just imagine the kind of person that takes and the 'tude that would've been dished out. Certainly not condoning a full fledged beating, but I bet they won't do it again!

Pretty sure this wouldn't happen to someone that didn't ask for it. Cops must put up with some sh*t.. And I imagine it could be pretty hard to contain your anger sometimes. I can think of a few idiot drivers I've experienced on the road where I was nearly boiled enough to stop in the middle of the road and flog the snot out of em. And that's all of a few times, these guys cop it every day. Point being, this ain't gunna happen to you unless you're a dick and probably (I say probably) deserve it.

Cops are supposed to lead by example and have a higher moral code & ethics. If they run around doing whatever the fk they want their no better than the two retards doing the burnouts.

Sorry, not saying I condone it, they definitely should lead by example and have a higher moral code & ethics no matter the situation. Just dont think I could judge them too harshly for failing to do so.

I've been smashed by a coppa.. they are in a position of power simply because they know you aren't allowed to fight back. I was 16 at the time and was threatened by that officer several times that night after I copped it. I'd be fine with that if they sent me on my way but I ended up getting charged with a whole bunch of stuff that had nothing to do with me, as well as going home looking like a punchIng bag

I have heard police officers complain that there has been a loss of fear and respect for the law in recent times.

Even in my job as a tram driver, I sometimes deal with a particular type of 'feral' who I can catch in the act of, say, vandalising my vehicle or intimidating passengers, and their only response is to basically say, '@*#& you, what are you going to do about it?' It can be incredibly frustrating for someone trying to do the right thing by the majority population to get spoken to like a dog by some punk.

Without condoning it directly, I daresay the world might be a better place if we had more officers like those guys.

Cops are shit, I got off a bus one night with a 350ml bottle of coke with a few shots of vodka in it. Walked 50 meters down the street, cross a road and walk past a cop who stops me and asks what's in my drink... I said coke... He smelt it and poored it out. I walked off then heard a mate yell out "watch out", look behind me and this fat **** copper was charging at me... So I prepared myself for when he ran into me, he tried knocking me down, got me in a head lock, through me against a wall, smashed my head up against it, twisting my arms and shit and says "your under arrest" I replied "what the **** for? Get the **** off me you ****" he replied with "keep going and you won't be let out tonight"... He turns me around and says sit down against the wall, so I try to sit down and he starts kicking my leggs. I said to one of my mates "get your phone out and start recording" then the police calmed down a bit... Some chick walks past with a cruiser and says "am I going to be arrested now", cop says "nah your alright". Got put in the wagon and taken back to the station... Don't know where we went though cos they made about 20 random turns left and right, taking the corners on hard to throw me around.. It should of been just 2 right turns then at the station... Got back to the station and they had reports that I was fighting?

Ended up with a fine for offensive language .

All my mates thought it was the funniest thing ever cos I'm about the last person anyone would think would get arrested.

I've been dropped by cops before for no reason, myself and a mate were lined up to go into a club on surfers, not drunk, not loud, then both of us got our legs kicked out from behind us and smashed onto the ground. We got arrested but no charges were laid. ****.

It may not be all of them but I've come across some pretty awesome cops over the years that are genuinely in the game to do the right thing. I admire the genuine ones for the bs they have to put up with.

My opinion on the topic exactly. Never had a problem with a cop myself, unfair as it feels sometimes, they still deserve respect.

Police used to use phonebooks to beat scum. Doesn't leave bruises. The guy was wearing a Monster Energy Drink jumper, isn't that in itself breaking the law? I back Police every which way.

You get wankers in any job, and they're the ones that make the headlines instead of the decent folk.

Like the ones that impounded OED666's ED when he did nothing wrong, but they made up a story of an epic skid that could be seen and heard ~600m away by the people in the coffee shop. That was closed.

Some people shouldn't be politicians. Some people shouldn't be teachers. And some people shouldn't be police.

I know there are a lot of shit cops out there but there are some good ones. you treat them with respect and it generally helps. unles their beating you for no reason as above...

I have had experiences being hit or charged for things I didn't do. But generally it does work when you cooperate and treat them with respect. Some however seem like they're on their period or something and just seem to want to **** you over
