I also reckon they styled from the DB9 and a 2011 XJ. Bit hard to see because of the white but the bonnet lines are similar on the XJ with less buldge.

is that the Mondeo or the Fusion?

or is the Mondeo just called a Fusion in the US?

The fusion has taken on the mondeo platform, I think they are canning the mondeo and calling it the fusion in the US, I think we may get it as a mondeo still. Alot of car blogs are bagging this car out due to its looks.

It confuses my brain a little, but I like.

So it appears it has replaced the one with the ranger grill. This does look much nicer anyway.
