Postby Fairmont89 » February 23rd, 2012, 5:29 pm

hey all wasnt too sure if this is the right place to ask this but just wondering looking at putting a 10inch sub and amp into my fairmont have just one problem running a power wire from the battery to the boot is there any holes or places i could run the wire from the inside to the firewall and into the engine bay or do i have to drill a hole
would rather not drill a hole but was thinking of drilling a hole if anything behind the foot rest and up into the engine bay any help would be greatly appreciated

There's already a grommet you can feed the power cable through, I think it's where the accelerator cable goes through on the left side, easiest way to do it is to attach it to a coathanger (straighten it), with tape, and feed it through to the other side.

And if you run out of patience and have an auto, you can pull out the clutch cable grommet and run it through there. But it's lazy, looks more messy and uses another 60cm or so of cable.

I'm not 100% what the grommet you gotta put it through, but you'll see it on the left side, there's only 1 iirc. I've got a fair thick one running through mine (forgot what gauge), wasn't too hard to run through.
