If you have to ask what a 1984 is, then you are most likely being a 1984.

Urban dictionary says;
1984 (verb) - Anything that a government does to control people, brainwash people, or take away their rights.

"George Bush 1984s people into making them vote for him"

OK I figured it had something to do with Big Brother (not the shit TV show either) but I couldn't see the correlation between Kenster and 1984? How does Kenster 1984 people? You'd think the term would be used more in line with AFF?

Anyway Damo, you asking the next trivia Q?

Are we counting EB and EBII as one model? I was counting EB and EBII as different models...stupid EA 3.2 crap pwned me though :P

The 'KENTSTER' in Goz' signature is not referring to the actual kent that we dislike, it's more of an insult - "Don't be a 1984 kentster" is more for the mods (mainly AFF) and means "Don't be a kent and delete/modify posts unless you absolutely need to, let people control themselves rather than being an overbearing mfker" - because overmoderation is FTMFL.

BTW - EB XR6 DID have a bloody tickford head!!! It was many pages ago so I've forgotten who said it, but EB XR6 did get the tickford head - if you bought one with a stock head you got raped.

Look at your car. Now back to mine. Now back to yours. Now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped buying dodgy cars and bought an ED, yours could be like mine. Look down. Back up. Where are you? ...You're on BoostedFalcon, reading the signature your signature could be like! Anything is possible when your car looks like my car... I'm on a computer.

Now there is a question for the philosophers.
I personally don't see how you can count the EB and EBII as the same model - the EBI has more parts in common with the EA than with the EB2.
Incidentally, my information says there was no tickford head casting for a 3.9 litre - it was only a different head with the introduction of the 4.0 litre. Which would mean the original EB S-XR6 did not have a tickford head. I would love to be proven wrong though. ;)

XR6 never came in a 3.9. 4.0l came before series 2. Some people need to just die.

Actually, the 4L was introduced with the series 2, but you're right about there never being a 3.9L XR6.

XR8 was introduced with EB1, then the trim etc. was updated for EB2.

See, I was under the impression the XR6 got introduced with EB1. It makes more sense that it came with EB2 though.

Ok, well that leads onto a good question. What are the actual differences between the EB 3.9 and the EB2 4.0?
Bore/stroke, cc, comp. ratio, etc?

The other difference is that the 3.9 is 3949cc and the 4.0 is 3984cc. A whopping 35cc difference.

What ARE the differences between the DF and DL LTD?

Grill, exterior colours, steering (SSPS), ABS version, rim design and size, fully colour coded interior, plus all the other suspension mods that came with the EL over the EF.

Bipolar asked the original question, and it was what changes specific to the LTD. All those things you mentioned were part of the complete EF to EL change.

Well.. There was nothing that was really different between the 2, apart from SSPS which all high series xLs got. You could consider the rest of the differences just part of the model change upgrades that the rest of the range got.

I think the original poster meant something like the LTD got bullet proof glass as standard over the DF, and it was the only model at that time to have it. So that would be a LTD specific change.

I think the original poster meant something like the LTD got bullet proof glass as standard over the DF, and it was the only model at that time to have it. So that would be a LTD specific change.

Yeah, exactly. And I can't think of anything that is specific to the LTD. Hopefully Bipolar will see this and answer it for us!

Anyway, time for a new question.
Name all spec levels (GL, Fairmont, etc) for EA, EB, EB2 and ED including wagon and lwb.

I can think of 1 thing... Maybe 2... But I havent been in enough DF's to notice if its true or not. So can't be sure.
