Hello All :)
I'm new to this Forum and hope to get to know you all well :)
I'm getting off my Stupid P Plates next year :D and am starting to get ready to Boost my Falcoon! 1 year remaining :(
I'm getting a Good Condition Barra 182 N/A soon and am going to put her on an engine stand ive just purchased and fully strip and rebuild her with new Pistons, Con Rods and Valve Springs.
Other than this, I have no other Idea's and Don't know what I'm Doing. Or even if this is right so far XD
Can anyone point me in the right direction :)
Cheers,

it really depends on what type of turbo build you are going for? just a std xr6t setup or something big? the pistons, rods and springs you purchased, what are they, std replacement h/d forged???

How deep is your wallet?

Prob best to sell the NA and buy a low KM turbo. Will have lsd, turbo auto box, better motor PLUS a turbo lol

Hey mate, I haven't purchased anything other than the Engine yet, So undecided if i will get Stock XR6T Pistons or Forged.
At this point im only hoping to get a little better power than a stock XR6t :)

Hey Mate, I know your right, and i would save money. But I'm more interested in learning how to sort of do everything from scratch if you know what i mean?

Just wanting to get a little better than a stock XR6 Turbo.
Nothing that flash.
Wanting to start with an XT so i can learn some Life lessons i suppose lol
I'm really interested in rebuilding the engine, and doing everything from scratch. Testing and fault finding ect...
Its something for me to do over a year so i have time on my side :)
As long as its <$10-$15k I could get away with it buying stuff slowly over the year.

And I kinda like the idea that my car is going to look almost like a Stock XT and have a bit more power than people would expect :)

Thanks for your response :)

if only looking for a bit more than xr6t get a xr6t motor put some injectors and a pump and flash tune fit an fmic. would be heaps cheaper than buying manifold, turbo, building motor etc etc? if you want to learn then build a motor on the side with forged internals and good bits for when you get sick of the power you have

for 10-15k you're better off buying a xr6t motor and box out of a wreck, changing looms over and doing the motor swap. with the change buy an old v8 and rebuild that with a big cam, setup the carby etc... will learn alot more than building a ba motor thats for damn sure

UPDATE: Ive been offered F6 Rods and Pistons full set for $300 from a mate
Whats the deal here is it just a straight swap job once i have an engine stripped? Or do i need to get the engine machined?
Go ahead or not? lol
Sorry for newb questions.
Thanks
