				Where are they now? Old awesome e-series

				I was wondering today what happened to some of the really nice eseries that were around when 5-6 years ago. Two in particular stick out for me;
Pyroay / Pyroly
The original balls to the wall e-series. Much debated 450rwkw, T56 and every other conceivable mod. Multiple show winner and Car Audio Australia champion at one stage. Aaron, the owner actually installed one of my stereo systems for me and I was lucky enough to go for a few drives in this weapon. It was unbelievably quick and tight. Between the power and everything else I had to double check I was in an eseries. The guy had 5mm steel boxes welded underneath the car going into the driver and passenger footwells to mount speakers in. IIRC he had 'invested' well over 100k into the car. Last I heard it was bought by a car in WA somewhere.
His mrs car was an EF Ghia with similar paint but only standard mods.

Fuzions EL ?Fairmont
This 2nd one stands out for me because it was the one car I always wanted and I still think the best looking eseries I've seen. From memory it only had your standard NA mods but was really really clean and just looked really nice. It was originally a fairmont ghia IIRC but ran a T5 and straight LPG.

Anyone know what happened to these cars or any other nostalgic e-series?

				EA2BA only had a BA shifter, headlights and a few little interior bits.
bodykit was an SSV job, based on the VN Group A.
was pretty rough.
the champagne EL was on trueblueford.com and had IRS/AU KFrame + Au VCT motor and trans.

Is that where it went huh. It was around the broady area for a bit not to long ago, then once those muzza plates got added i never saw it again. Assumed it got defected, it stood out a mile away.

If your talking about the one that Street Machine had built, I seen it around Seymour a few years ago.
Was pretty rough, rusty bits and bubbling bog. I think an Army bloke owned it so could be anywhere in Australia now.

				im sure there was pics on aff of it being rebuilt, see if i can find them
Im a new member on this site so i thought i would tell you guys a little bit about my ride. Most of you may know it already. It is called the Sony Scorcher. It started life a 4 door EA GLi Falcon sedan. Street machine magazine heavily modified the car in the late 90s and used it as a promo/ project/ giveaway car. The project was sponsored by Sony Australia. The car was converted to a 2 door. A 5.0l motor was fitted with a whole stack of Edelbrock goodies. A 5 speed manual tremec gear box was fitted and a hydratrak diff. EL GT brakes front and rear. AC delco engine management system. I found the car about 6 years ago in Victoria. The paint was falling off the car, one window was broken and the trim was falling apart. I brought the car home to Sydney and Drago Ostric (the guy who won grand champion at Summernats a few years ago with the Gemini wagon) from Sefton smash started the bear metal rebuild on the car.....8 months later after tidying everything up it was time for paint. Owen Webb mixed the paint to the original formula and sefton smash put the final coat of paint on. Next stop was DNA motor sport. A F1 procharger was fitted with a big front mount cooler. Next stop Scott Kuhner at Insight Motor sports. The boot floor was removed and a fuel cell and twin 044 motorsport pump where fitted. Further engine mods where made and the fitting of an Autronic engine manangement system with CDI direct fire system. The supercharged motor dynoed at 517 bhp. On the road with this much power the Hydratrak diff and Tremec gear box them selfs. Over to Australian Race Transmission where a 2 speed power glide, transbrake and b&m shifter was fitted. The Hydratrak was replaced with a modified XR8 diff. Now to fix the interior that was falling apart. A mate of mine who is a trimmer removed scorcher interior including all the original Sony equipment. He retrimmed the whole interior in black leather and cloth. All the sony emblems have been kept in original condition and have been retrimmed in orange. All the original Sony equipment was reinstalled and still works.....so thats my ride.

				That's PRO-EA. Was that Benny Gatt's car, or is that another car again?
I've got magazine articles of both back in SA, as well as the whole build story of Sony Scorcher.
There was that dark blue blown EL XR8 from Canberra in 99, that was pretty mint. Was on the cover of Street Machine. Engine builder was a wanker though.
