Car Care?

Postby [Sterling] » February 4th, 2008, 5:37 pm

Thought id start a thread about car care,
I use Meguiars for anything on the outside and Mothers for anything on the inside. But ive been told that Auto Glym is the bomb digigty in car care? is it true, what would you recomend?
when i do clean my car i usualy give it a good wash, then use the 3 step Meguiars polish stuff
Step-1 - Is the paint cleaner
Step-2 - Is the polish itself
Step-3 - Is the Canubra(spelling?) wax
then i use the spary detailer wich gives it a overall shine, comes up mint!.

you dont need to use step 1 everytime you polish.

if you havent done it recently i would clay bar first and not even bother with the paint cleaner stuff. then just use a good quality wax.

It's like sticky super putty that picks up everything left behind after you've cleaned like sap and baked in dirt. Reduces the chance of scratching the paint while polishing/waxing.

Until I find something better (that doesn't cost $800):

1. Meguiars Body Duster
2. Meguiars Waterless
3. Meguiars Quik Clay
4. Autoglym Super Resin Polish
5. Meguiars Yellow Tech wax
6. Meguiars Wheel Cleaner

Then just a quick hit with Waterless and Wheel Cleaner every other week.
