Zoom magazine did a story on a genuine Walkinshaw that had the manifold stolen years ago. It was cheaper to put a 2JZ in instead of replacing the manifold, plus it was totally legal and run 11s with bolt-on mods.

But if a 4.0 was named something like RB or 2J 40ET/40DET it would be some crazy exotic motor. Instead it's called a BA taxi motor.

imagine how many manifolds you could buy with the value difference between a minto original walky, and a walky with a toyota motor in it...

Depends on who you're selling to.
Lots of people think the Walky was a Brock creation. The same people still don't think Brock ever touched an EA or raced a Sierra.

fuckin lol. Spot on.
I get confused on whether he sold Niki's or Lada's, common mistake for a motorsport fan.
But yeah, Brock's autobiography/autobiographies didn't cover that, so some people forget that bit.

At least Dick can pinpoint the moment he went from Holden to Ford, and will admit it :P

I also know who Eric Dowker is, unlike most Brock fanboiz.
He was a hippy who made Brock believe the Polarizer worked.

I've always had a dodgy idea of putting a 20b Turbo in a xf ghia.

People automatically assume it'll be a slug, but the ghia weighs less than a Cosmo and they are definitely not slugs.

I nearly put an angry 13b turbo into my old EF Ghia.. my mate spent thousands on a serious engine then got the shits halfway through the third rebuild of the car itself and nearly sold up.. I was going to drop it straight in with the microtech and C4, purely because I'd never heard of it done.
