Anyone got a hook-up for windscreens out in the Eastside of Melb?

On-site preferred but willing to travel about 20km for a cheap and quick fit.

we use stus windscreens at work in ringwood, seems to do good work, and we are 2 doors down from a windscreen joint lol so he must be cheaper, usually the guys that do it on their own vs a big company are cheaper.
dunno his number but google it.

There is a dude on boronia road that does it. Grumpy **** but usually pretty cheap.

Look him up in yellow pages. He is between bayswater and Dorset road.

If you have insurance you get one free windscreen a year with most policies.

I thought it was on my policy but apparently not. I always get it now, but ah well.

For those interested or for future reference, I'm getting it done by National Windscreens, phone 1300 363 632. Same day replacement, and he said $195 but came to $180. That's for a BF sedan.

That's pretty reasonable I reckon.

Yeah he's been and gone now. Did a good job but he was a cvnt because there was a bit of a **** around with not having covered area to work in. I'd use him again, only because it was cheap.

Seals are all in properly and so is the cowl trim, he even glued up the FPV clock in it's perfect position. No complaints on workmanship, just these guys who do them are lacking in personality and customer service skills.

I had a worse experience with the guys who did my G6E Turbo last year, had to get them to fix the cowl trim because it didn't get clipped in properly.

You know whats odd...

On the two upper corners there is little plastic trim bits.

Can't be bought seperate from the windscreen..break one whan removeing a screen and you'll need a whole new screen.

Oh, if you own a peugeot 308?

$1000 for a genuine front screen...+ fitting

Cheapest EA windscreen I could find 10 years ago when my EA got done was $150. If you're paying $125 for a BA windscreen these days you're doing fucking grouse I reckon, there'd be **** all in it for the installer - with the cost of coming out on site and of the windscreen and glues and shit. I thought I did really well at $180, but you guys are making me feel bad!

Your EA woulda had an Australian made Pilkingtons windscreen put in. Everything comes from China now.

I just had a good look at mine it's a good job. All the seals and cowl sit right, there's no glue coming out under the trim inside. Would use again a++
