Limited edition 'Panther' ready for Sydney motor show.
Ford Performance Vehicles is about to introduce the fastest Falcon GT of all time – although it will fall short of being the much-anticipated successor to the iconic GTHO.
Codenamed “Panther”, the Falcon GT’s supercharged V8 will have the same power as before (335kW and 570Nm) but it will accelerate more quickly because of wider rear tyres and retuned suspension.
Although Ford does not publish acceleration claims, Drive understands internal testing has shown the new model can reach 100km/h in less than five seconds.http://news.drive.com.au/drive/motor-ne ... 214ow.html

Im not sure it will be limited to all black, given they just did that.
But, the more agressive bumper, and wider tires are a shoo in...

I've probably said this before, but when I was at uni I had a lecturer called Barbie Panther. She wasn't impressed when I exclaimed "SWEET porn name!"

Umm, what was this thread about again?
Anyhoo according to AFF it'd be the Ford Panther rather than the FPV Panther.

Wider Wheels. Usually They'll Flare the guards even if by alittle. though, im hoping for some tough Looking Guards.

i doubt there will be any flaring of guards. once they sort the suspension then theres a ton of room under the guards.

FPV/Prodrive were testing some notched rear 'control blade' arms last year. They had 295's in the back with no problems. FPV were/are looking at releasing them as aftermarket parts.
Or they could just be fitting 255's which would still fit no worries lol.

I'm guessing 275's?
Lets hope its not called a Panther!
I wonder if they will 'adjust' the software so nothing breaks with the added traction?
Wish i could afford one

even if it is only wheels and stickers!

I wonder if the the power will be kept the same, as there has been long standing rumours of a higher version in the future...one with boost increased and the "diffuser" replaced by a water-air IC...

G'day all,
I think the GT R Spec is a real looker; the wider wheels add more than performance. I like the different stripes too.
http://news.drive.com.au/drive/motor-ne ... 2445m.htmlIt kind of sucks that FPV are so afraid of the media and all the 'hoon' BS (I presume this is why they are hesitant to increase the power figure) when the latest BMW M5 (418 kW) and its ilk could use some Aussie competition.

Well, there still is the "Tempest" with 375kw and the R-spec package...due to revealed at the Sydney Motor Show in October...

Go buy your track day stats Skyline and sell your XR6T, then let me know when you want to be deleted off the forums. All you add here is complete shit! Nothing technical or valid at all.

so wheels, suspension, tune, interior all changed makes it a sticker pack?
i cant wait to hear some track times out of it compared to the normal GT, i wish i was financial enough to buy one. the white one would be me i think,
or the black with a few changes. paint the rims so theyre black with more subtle red highlights, spray the rear valance the same as the chop on gayff, it looked mint like that.
can only presume tempest is going to be the i/c version, and maybe the super pursuit makes a comeback with a step up in specs as well.

I don't think the tune is changed.
The other colours look ok IMO, black one is ugly! Mirrors look like they're waiting to be painted, wheels are too full on in the real pic.....
Sucks the ute misses out on everything too. FPV obviously don't care about Maloo buyers.
Funny thing is someone with a normal 335 GT who puts decent tyres on would probably hose the 'Panther' around a track!

Turns out the colour scheme isn't quite as original as first thought.

the R-Spec just needs different wheels.
that alone would have gotten more praise.
overall it looks ok, the rear diffuser looks horrible though.

its only pursuit, not super pursuit.
and tune is changed, how do you think they do launch control....
only 17% of gt buyers opt for the big brakes... you know people that actually buy them not just whinge about what they havent got.
so many ford people with heads so far up their own asses.
this will be the fastest production falcon ever. but no, its still shit.
and no just decent tyres on a normal gt wont hose the r spec. cos it still wont have launch control, it wont have the upgraded suspension
